Historic Hennepin Canal provides scenic views all year and you can walk along its banks or cycle for family fun.   Festival 56 Theatre group produces Broadway caliber entertainment in Princeton during their six week summer professional theater festival. Productions include plays and musicals featuring works of Shakespeare, Neal Simon and more.

Between the towns of Princeton, Sheffield, Wyanet and La Moille, antique lovers will make several great finds at the malls and shops throughout the area. Princeton's Main Street is lined with unique shops offering everything from handcrafted gifts and custom-scented soaps to Victorian gifts and inviting tearooms filled with treasures. Bureau County's Red Covered Bridge is located north of Princeton on Rte. 26. Built in 1863, it is one of three remaining covered bridges in Illinois and is still open to traffic.Bureau Map Sm
