Illinois Principals Assn. to Host 39th Conference
PEORIA, IL - The Illinois Principals Association (IPA) will be holding its 39th Annual Principals Professional Conference and Exhibition on Oct. 15-19 at the Hotel Pere Marquette.
Designed to help Illinois principals lead their schools, the conference will provide attendees with numerous networking opportunities including a welcome reception, planned luncheons and dinners, and roundtable discussions to build contacts and share successful practices.
There will be over 50 small-group breakoffs, offering a variety of topics affecting administrators and schools. General sessions will be led by the Illinois State Superintendent, Chris Koch. Other distinguished speakers include John Draper, Karen Dyer and Bonnie Blair.
Additionally, there will be plenty of other activities throughout the weekend. Attendees will be able to witness one of the largest educational exhibitions in Illinois. The exhibition will showcase the latest in educational products and services. There will also be opportunities for delegates to purchase resources for professional or personal use. Other activities include a cyber café, mentoring for new principals, meetings for retired administrators, and plenty more.
The IPA aims to advance learning through effective educational leadership. The group supports its members by providing them with quality professional development plans, networking opportunities, and assistance in pushing legislative goals. IPA believes that by fostering better principals, schools in Illinois will continue to thrive.
