Sell Your ‘Treasures' in this 100-mile Bargaining Extravaganza

CAMBRIDGE, IL - More vendors are needed for the 6th annual More on 34 bargain shopping route, held June 17-18 on Father's Day weekend.

Becoming a vendor is simple.  Go to moreon34.com and list your items and location at no cost.  Shoppers will view the website listings before they hit the road - on the lookout for that next must-have treasure at yard sales, antique shows, flea markets and craft shows.

New this year, is the partnership formed with Goodwill Industries, Inc. Flyers stuffed into bags and posted at over 17 locations on the route will urge vendors to donate any leftover goods not sold in the sale. Money raised through donations helps Goodwill provide training, employment and supportive services for people with disabilities or disadvantages who seek greater independence.

More than 15,000 people participated in last year's More on 34 weekend-long shopping spree. The 2011 sale is expected to attract even more shoppers wanting to save money because of the flagging economy and high cost of gas.

The old adage, "One man's junk is another man's treasure," certainly applies to the More on 34 sale.  Don't pass up this incredible opportunity that only comes once a year - sign up today to be a More on 34 vendor.

Comprised of volunteers and citizens throughout the state and nation, More on 34 spans over 100 miles of bargain shopping, selling and fun.  Stretching across U.S. Route 34 from Galesburg to Aurora, participants will be able to browse all weekend at their own pace, and vendors have the opportunity to meet new people and sell old items.
