2012 Baseball Players Qualifier to be held at Eastside Centre

EAST PEORIA, IL - Six baseball teams made up of boys 16 and under will be traveling to Eastside Centre in East Peoria this week, Sunday July 15 through Tuesday July 17, to play in the 2012 CIBPA Scholarship Qualifier.

The qualifier will have a 3 game format and has a fee of $500.

At least one $250 scholarship will be award by blind draw.

There is no gate fee with reasonable concessions available and the community is encouraged to attend.

Established in 2000 by Hugh Cantrell in Lexington, Kentucky, The Baseball Players Association is a full service organization that offers a division of play and a level of competition that all baseball players can enjoy.

            The 2012 Baseball Players Assoc. Scholarship Qualifier will create an economic impact of about $18,000 and fill 80 hotel rooms in the Peoria Area.  There will be about 175 individuals in attendance.
