BPA State Championship to be held at EastSide Centre

EAST PEORIA, IL - Teams made up of boys from the Baseball Players Association's Gold, Silver and Bronze classes will be making their way to East Peoria's EastSide Centre the weekend of July 6 - July 8 for the BPA's 2012 State Championship.

The tournament will be in a three game format with a three game minimum guarantee.

The games are free of charge and the public is encouraged to come and support the teams. There will be reasonable concessions available for purchase.

Established in 2000 by Hugh Cantrell in Lexington, Kentucky, The Baseball Players Association is a full service organization that offers a division of play and a level of competition that all baseball players can enjoy.

                   The BPA State Championship will create an economic impact of approximately $90,000 and fill 400 hotel rooms in the Peoria Area.  There will be approximately 2,000 individuals in attendance.

                The PACVB represents an eight county region including Bureau, Fulton, Marshall, Mason, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford. The organization's mission is to promote the Peoria Area as a destination for visitors and contribute to the economic growth of the communities they represent.
