Hartley Amusements to hold 18th Annual LPAW
Hartley Amusements to hold 18th annual League Player
PEORIA, IL - Hartley Amusements will be hosting the 18th annual LPAW, or League Players Appreciation Weekend, February 19-21, 2010 at the Peoria Civic Center.
LPAW, which began as DAW (Dart Appreciation Weekend), was introduced in 1991 by Larry Hartley, who wanted to bring together all league players and bar owners from across the state to come together, engage in friendly competition and, ultimately, leave as friends.
The event now includes both darts and pool competitions, and this year's event will also include live music, games, beer and crazy costume contests. There is also a Harley Davidson motorcycle to be given away. Contestants are automatically entered into the drawing for the Harley Davidson just by playing in the leagues and attending LPAW, and must be present to win.
To attend LPAW, one must have played at least 48 pool games or 96 dart games in Hartley Amusements' 2009-2010 leagues. To register for LPAW, contact your league coordinator or Hartley Amusements home office.
The PACVB represents an eight county region including Bureau, Fulton, Marshall, Mason, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell, and Woodford. The organization's mission is to promote the Peoria Area as a destination for visitors and contribute to the economic growth of the communities they represent.
