Peoria Ride for the Cure

The Ride for the Cure Party will be an outdoor event at Exposition Gardens with refreshments, bike show and auction.  To be in the bike show, the bike must be ridden in parade, bike must be available for display until 2:30pm.

  Chris Fischer from OCEARCH (Ocean Research) will hold a special Q&A presentation with video in the Giant Screen Theater on Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. followed by a Meet & Greet opportunity for visitors in the main lobby until approximately 1 p.m.

Fischer is a very well-known personality in outdoor television and conservation circles with a passion for the oceans. He hosted "Offshore Adventures," a two-time Emmy Award winner on ESPN. The "Walk a Mile In Her Shoes" awareness and fundraising event is planned for May 18, 2013 in Princeton.  Our local men (Yes, MEN!) will don their most decked-out women's heels and trek one mile to show their support against rape and sexual violence!  Freedom House invites everyone in Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties (and beyond!) to help make this a successful event!

There are several ways to be a part of making this event successful which include making a monetary donation, providing silent auction items or sponsoring our 30th anniversary calendar by "buying in" with your business or organization's team photo being part of the calendar.

Your sponsorship of the event will aid Freedom House in its mission to provide services to the victims of domestic and sexual violence throughout the five county region of Bureau, Marshall, Henry, Putnam and Stark counties.
