Wildlife "Scary" Park

Get ready for a spooktacular time as Wildlife Prairie State Park transforms into "Wildlife Scary Park" - a Central Illinois tradition for over 20 years!  The "Nights of Fright" will be on two weekends, October 19 - 21 and 26 - 28 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.  Merry-Not-So-Scary is from 5:00 - 7:00 PM each night for the little ones.  Tickets are $8.00 for non-members and $7.00 for members; children 1 and under are free and parking is free. 

Ghosts and goblins, princes and princesses, and all superheroes should come to the Train-sylvania Depot for a haunted ride on the Train-sylvania Express.  Grab some food at Franks-n-Steins to keep your energy high and shop at our Boo-tique for halloween trinkets.

Walk through our Carn-E-vil and enjoy games, rides, face-painting, storytelling, bonfires, movies and crafts.  New this year is our BOO-levard of Scarecrows.  Be sure to join us for trick-or-treating in the Ghoul-y-Whopper Subdivision. A new adult night, Prowl and Howl, featuring South Side Cindy, takes place on Saturday, October 27 from 9:00 - midnight.  Tickets are $5 for members and $13 for non-members (park admission is included).  Dance the Fright Away dressed in your scariest best for some mature monster madness.

Come and watch participants of all ages build machines which are used to hurl pumpkins as far as possible!  If you can't build a machine, you can enter the hand tossed event.

Folks of all ages will find something of interest, whether it's food, pumpkins, fall decorations, or just a taste of the country.  Bring your lawn chairs and join us for this fun filled family event!
