The 2008 Region 5 Level 8 Regionals will take place on May 3-4, 2008 at the Peoria Civic Center. This event is hosted by the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau with support from local clubs including Gym Corner, Washington, IL and The Gymnastics Spot, Mundelein, IL.

Session Times: Session Times will be determined once all entries are received. The times will be posted on the Illinois State site, once they become available.

Graduating seniors: We are very interested in honoring the Athletes that have stayed and supported USAG program for as long as they have and are Graduation this year.

Parking
Parking is $6.00 in any of the Civic Center lots. There are lots across from the Civic Center where parking is free. Free meter parking is available on the weekends.

Individual Entry Fee
Entry fee is $80.00. Please make entry fees payable to Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Please submit on a club check for all athletes. Region 5 Level 8 Regionals should be in the memo line. PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ALL INJURY PETITION ATHLETES. If the injured athlete does not compete a refund will be issued back to the club after the meet. Entries should be given to your state meet director prior to you leaving the meet. The meet director should mail all entries to the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, within 48 hours of the state meet.

Registration Form and Deadline
The completed form must be sent to the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau 48 hours after the state meet by the state meet director.

Region 5 Level 8 State Meets dates:

March 29-30 Kentucky, Indiana

April 4-6 Illinois, Michigan, Ohio

  • We will determine the Region 5 Age Groups at the culmination of April 6th weekend and the arrival of the Results State meets from the respective Level 8 State meet Directors.
  •  The NEW AGE GROUPS (different than the State age groups) will be divided equally into age groups by Athletes Birthdates registered at the State Meet
  • The State Teams will then be determined by ranking the athletes in each NEW AGE GROUP by State and posted on your respective State Websites
  •  Injury petition Athletes will compete but not on the STATE TEAM. Please include them on your Entry Form and please include entry fee at your State Meet (if your athlete is unable to compete Regional meet entry fee will be returned).
  • Age Groups will be posted on this website as soon as the NEW AGE GROUPS have been established
  • There will be 2 Age Groups participating at the Same time i.e. Junior A and Senior A in 2 separate Gyms Modified Capital Cup Format
