DAY ONE

Linden Hill Farms - Begin your day on a working farm. Milk a cow, feed the chickens, and learn what it's like to live on a farm. Founded in 1921 as a dairy farm, today the farm boasts 180 cows, horses, sheep, chickens and more. Experience life on a farm, first hand.

USDA ARS Nat'l Center for Agricultural Utilization Research - Ag Lab - Tour this world-renowned bioscience research facility that once served in the mass production of penicillin. When you visit you will learn how the scientists are currently working to develop new crops that do not directly compete with existing, traditional crops.

Apple Blossom Farm - Whether you come for the apples, pumpkins or country store, don't forget to sample all they have to offer. This farm also offers a petting zoo, hay-rack rides and a corn maze for the adventurous.

Oakridge Sportsman's Club - Central Illinois' premier sporting clay and hunting club, they specialize in sporting clays, 5-stand and game bird hunting.

DAY TWO

Peoria RiverFront Farmers Market - Every Saturday morning, June through September, the Peoria RiverFront market brings together artists, craftspeople, fresh produce vendors, musicians and selected exhibitors from across Illinois in a European-style open-air market.

Ackerman Farms - Visit this farm in "The Pumpkin Capital of the World," Morton, IL. Ackerman Farms features more than than 150 varieties of pumpkin and gourds each year. Take a hay-rack ride which includes tours of the fields, apple trees and honey bees. Finish off your visit with a picnic lunch.

Green View Nursery, Inc. - Visit one of the top 100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in the U.S., recognized by Today's Garden Center. Learn from expert horticulturists about their extensive irrigation and fertilization practices or set up a seminar to learn about landscape strategies or seasonal planting.
