Breathtaking fall landscapes surround these "must-see" attractions. You will easily spend an entire weekend uncovering some of the most beautiful treasures in the Peoria Area.

 

DAY ONEtanners

Tanner's Orchard - Begin your trip with a stop at Central Illinois' most unique farm market. Tanner's Orchard is filled with various gift items, fresh produce, specialty foods, and a large bakery sure to please any palate! A trip to Tanner's wouldn't be complete without a ride to the orchard to pick your own apples and pumpkins! (Admission)

Kickapoo Creek Winery - Leave your worries behind while relaxing overlooking the beautiful grounds of the vineyard, sipping a glass of fine Illinois wine. (Admission)

Spirit of Peoria - There's no better view of fall foliage than from aboard Spirit of Peoria Groupthe Spirit of Peoria. Board the paddle wheeler for a sightseeing cruise up and down the Illinois River. Surrounded on both sides by rich colored leaves, your journey will be awe-inspiring. (Admission)

Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive - Jump back into your vehicle, and travel south to begin your journey on the Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive. Over 100 miles of scenic roads take you through Fulton County and all it's beauty. The first two full weekends in October are host to the Spoon River Valley Fall Festival where you and your family can enjoy unique homemade food and crafts. DAY TWO

Ackerman Farms - Visit this farm in "The Pumpkin Capital of the World," Morton, IL. Ackerman Farms features more than 150 varieties of pumpkins and gourds each year. Take a hayrack ride that includes tours of the fields, apple trees and honey bees. Finish off your visit with a picnic lunch!

World's Most Beautuful Drive - Visit Peoria's premier scenic drive that winds its way above the beautiful Illinois River valley. See the elegant homes of todays and yesterday's prosperous merchants, landowners and professionals.

Springdale Cemetery Tour - Chartered in 1855, it is the oldest cemetery in the state. You will appreciate the serene and park-like setting and hearing about the founding fathers and mothers of Peoria. It's a must see.
