Statement from the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau continues to monitor the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) regionally and any potential impact it may have on our day-to-day operations, incoming conventions and events throughout the Peoria area. The health and safety of our region's residents and visitors is always our top priority.
Enjoy Peoria continues to work closely with our amazing community partners like the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, Morton Chamber of Commerce, Washington Chamber of Commerce, Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, The Big Table: Greater Peoria and other key community partners to provide up to date information for the local business community. A central informational hub was created to share resources for our regional business community. Please visit www.gpcovid.com for a complete list of business resources and send any questions to bizinfo@greaterpeoria.org
We are continuing to monitor the recommendations of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with local government and health officials. Any actions taken will be consistent with guidelines from these agencies and local health department officials.
Restore Illinois Plan
The Restore Illinois Plan is a five-phased plan to reopen our state, guided by broad health metrics and with distinct business, education, and recreation activities characterizing each phase. This is an initial framework that will likely be updates as research and science develop and as the potential for treatments or vaccines is realized. The plan is based upon regional healthcare availability, and it recognizes the distinct impact COVID-19 has had on different regions of our state as well as regional variations in hospital capacity.
Currently the state of Illinois is in Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan as of Friday, June 26.
