Arien “Mo” Wallace is a proud Bradley University alumna who has a passion for travel and doing it at a lower price! Arien, better known as Mo to her friends and family, says she loves visiting fun parts of the world and learning about different cultures.
“The world is my classroom,” said Mo.
Mo is a first-generation business owner and opened her travel company in June 2019. She is a trained and certified expert on the Holy Land as well as all things Disney. Mo really enjoys putting together affordable travel packages for families.
This young widow with two sons, True a 14-year-old at Richwoods and Sincere an 11-year-old Lindberg student, was inspired by Jackie Grier-Buchanan (a retired schoolteacher) to venture into the travel industry. Before travel, Mo spent 20 years serving at Calvin Coolidge Middle School in Peoria District 150.
Mo shares that considering the COVID-19 pandemic, it is true that travel has slowed, yet many still travel due to employment, family reunions, funerals, etc. Mo happily shared that if she has a laptop and a phone, she can conduct business from just about any location.
“Do not give up. You are going to get more no’s than yes's. No’s are part of the business,” said Mo.
She is always interested in growing her team and she advises those considering starting a business to keep going.
