Two things influenced Dan Ruff to open Que For You in July 2019 – his enjoyment of smoking meat and his want to provide a great place for community activity. Many who knew Dan previously as a Peoria sports coach now frequent his business for delicious bar-b-que.

“Meeting people, seeing old friends and spending time smoking the meat are some of my favorite things about owning and running Que For You,” said Dan.   

In addition to ribs, tips, chicken and pulled pork, a more unique offering on his menu is turkey tips. He got the idea while visiting Chicago, IL. Turkey tips are a great, healthy pork alternative.

An endearing quality of Dan’s business is that it is physically located and promoted to be a hub to discuss community issues. Dan loves the idea of community gatherings and a place to relax with a good meal.

He is inspired by his mom and family. His wife, Ronda Guyton-Ruffin is his biggest supporter. Dan advises a new business owner to be prepared to work and weather the ups and downs of owning a business.

Ever positive when asked about the COVID pandemic, he mused it actually helped his business in a surprising way. 

“Though it slowed down business a little bit, it helped because it made us do business more succinctly,” said Dan. 

With that attitude, Que for You will continue a strong winning streak!
