It was not easy building a four-story, 111 room Residence Inn by Marriott during a worldwide pandemic, but Frontier Hospitality Group persevered. With Marriott International's approval, the hotel opened its' doors at 1:30 p.m June 17, 2021. The beautiful extended stay hotel, located at 201 Eastlight Court, is a prominent addition to the East Peoria community.

"As demand for hotel rooms begins to recover, with strong leisure travel and recovering corporate, travel, we are so pleased to open our doors and offer the newest hotel in the Peoria/East Peoria marketplace," says Huber. "Labor shortages and supply chain issues made 2020/2021 a difficult year to build a hotel, but our team and our partners powered through the obstacles and the result is a dynamic hotel that will serve as a home away from home for thousands of people in the years to come," says Dan Huber Co-Owner and CEO of Frontier Hospitality Group.
This is Frontier Hospitality Group's second hotel in East Peoria. FHG developed and owns and operates the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in East Peoria and two Best Western Plus Hotels.
"We have been exploring doing a second project in East Peoria for the past couple of years. We have enjoyed a great relationship with the City of East Peoria, and we were excited to partner with Marriott International, especially on a Residence Inn, which is a well-known and proven brand," says Huber. The project represents nearly a $19 million total investment.
