Built in 1881 and occupied for over a half century as a bank, grocery store and a cigar factory before being converted into a theater, the Paramount Theater has been a fixture in Wyoming since 1934. The theater closed in 1969, and has since had a succession of owners. The Paramount briefly reopened in 1987, and again in the late 1990s for a few years. Today the Paramount lives on as a live performance and event venue in Stark County.
