Peddler’s Way Quilt Co. is eclectic and fun and this makes us unique. With three owners who have different tastes and styles, our shop is like three quilt stores in one location! Our niche is bigger than just one style of fabric or one type of quilting. As you can see from our photographs, we have fabrics and samples from every genre, including Civil War reproductions, modern graphic designs, plus traditional and edgy prints. No matter what inspiration you’re looking for, you will find it at Peddler’s Way!
Our shop’s character is reflected in the atmosphere that we nurture. We want our customers to have fun, so we make sure that we, ourselves, are having fun. We encourage laughter as an integral part of the Peddler’s Way experience. That makes everyone who comes through the door to feel comfortable. At Peddler’s Way, we’re all about creating a “feel good” experience.
We purchased a quilt shop because the timing was right, but more importantly, because quilting is our passion and our therapy. Our nests were emptying and it was our time to embrace something, other than laundry and helping with homework! Our lives have been enriched by quilting and we wanted to share all that we have learned, and continue to learn, with others.
Our shop is located just off the historic Washington Square, in Washington, Illinois. Washington is located just across the Illinois River from Peoria, Illinois. Stately historic buildings, housing specialty shops such as jewelry stores, kitchen stores, and antique shops, along with restaurants and museums, make The Square a quaint, one-of-a-kind place to visit.
Peddler’s Way is about 6000 square feet, with two stories of fabric as well as a classroom on the main level and another one in our basement. The deck on the front of the store runs the entire length of the building and welcomes non-quilting companions to sit outside and enjoy the weather while their other halves browse and make their purchases.
Our shop offers more variety in fabric and samples than you could ever hope to see in one location. We don’t just do a lot of things; we do a lot of things well. We are proud of our diverse selection of quilting and sewing supplies and we feel that a variety of choices is one of our strengths. This is just one of the advantages to having more than one owner/buyer/sample maker. No matter how large your group of quilters or how varied their interests, they will all enjoy a visit to Peddler’s Way Quilt Co. in Washington, Illinois!
Our store hours are Monday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. Online store is 24/7.
