Village of Peoria Heights
Nestled on the west bluffs of the Illinois River is the picturesque village of Peoria Heights. President Theodore Roosevelt described his visit to the neighborhood of Grandview Drive as “the world’s most beautiful drive”. Offering scenic views of the mesmerizing Illinois River, this phrase still holds true to that statement over a century later.
The thriving downtown business district plays home to over 75 unique businesses and independently owned retail stores and restaurants. Grab a beer at Publik House, taste intriguing twists on the beloved taco at Cayenne and hear some great music at Heritage Square. Peoria Heights offers it all!
New to the village is the Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts. This cultural hub pays honor to Betty Jayne Brimmer, a gifted dancer and performer in the waning days of vaudeville and mother to Kim Blickenstaff, founder and chairman of the KDB Group. The center is the first development project spearheaded by the KDB Group with many more to come. Now open with a full events calendar, you can find live music and stand-up comedy in the evenings and weekends.
