The Greater Peoria area offers a wide variety of shopping that is never more than 20 minutes from where you are staying. From your favorite name brands like Old Navy and Home Goods to unique retail locations like Relics and Rambler, the Peoria Area has it all!

THE SHOPPES AT GRAND PRAIRIE

Out on the North-end of town, you can find the open-aired shopping destination, The Shoppes at Grand Prairie which features popular stores like J Crew, Loft and Dick’s Sporting Goods along with yummy local eats nearby. 

NORTHWOODS MALL

If the weather is bad you can head inside to Northwoods Mall which is the largest shopping mall in the tri-county area. Conveniently located off I-74 this must stop has over 90 stores where every style can find something. 

WESTLAKE SHOPPING CENTER

When you are done at Northwoods, you can head across the street to Westlake Shopping Center for a great mix of shopping and tasty food. 

METRO CENTRE

Located in the heart of Peoria for more than 45 years is the Metro Centre which features locally owned and operated stores that cannot be found anywhere else. 

JUNCTION CITY SHOPPING CENTER

Since 1956, Junction City Shopping Center has proudly served as Peoria’s first retail destination. From brick oven pizza to frozen yogurt and shopping that pleases all palettes, Junction City is a great place to shop ‘till you drop. 

CAMPUSTOWN SHOPPING CENTER

Conveniently located next to Bradley University in Peoria, Campustown offers a wide range of things to do and places to eat that are all locally owned. Grab a bite to eat at Dac’s Smokehouse where you can sample some fantastic barbeque made in-house. Looking to get some t-shirts made for your club or business? PROSPECT RD IN PEORIA HEIGHTS

Once you’re done at Junction City, hop onto Prospect Road and head into the heart of Peoria Heights. Over seventy-five independently owned retail stores and restaurants call the central business district of Peoria Heights home. For shopping make sure to stop into So Chic Boutique which offers trendy gifts to party supplies galore not to mention the Pretty Little Party Room you can book to celebrate in style. Looking for upscale shopping then walking into A Perfect Pear Boutique will be like walking into your dream closet. 

THE LEVEE DISTRICT – EAST PEORIA 

Right across the Illinois River within minutes from Downtown Peoria is the Levee District. Located in East Peoria’s downtown area the Levee District is a mix of residential retailers like Costco and a shopping destination for visitors. Bass Pro Shops is located approximately a half-mile from the Levee District and draws over 3 million visitors annually. The annual East Peoria Festival of Lights events also call the Levee District home during its two-month holiday extravaganza. 

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON SQUARE

Century-old buildings housing dozens of storefronts surround a public park at the center of the square. The square was established in 1834 as part of the original town of Washington and continues to be a hub of shopping and events for the area. The specialty shops that line the square are locally owned and operated family businesses. Holland’s Mercantile is central Illinois’ original old fashioned general and candy store. Is popcorn your vice? Check out Holland’s Caramel corn which features homemade gourmet popcorn along with local ice cream from Uncle Bob’s. Head over to Step Back in Time and peruse three floors of antiques, gifts, primitives, and collectibles which has been family-owned for 30 years.

MORTON MAIN STREET

Less than 10 minutes from downtown Peoria, Main Street in the Village of Morton is lined with specialty shops that are filled with a variety of ‘just what you are looking for’ items. Great American Popcorn Company of Morton offers freshly made popcorn to snack on while you stroll the Main Street shops. Or maybe stop in and treat yourself at Em.bel.lish Hair Design and Day Spa for a day of relaxation. Each year the Morton Pumpkin Festival is also held on Main Street which gives you an opportunity to visit all the local stores.

CHILLICOTHE – SECOND SATURDAY

The 2nd Saturday Market is the day to shop in Chillicothe. All local businesses celebrate the event with specials, discounts and more! Stop by one of the 27 local shops for your shopping and dining pleasure, always on the second Saturday of each month.
