Did you know that the Peoria Area is home to one of the largest 4th of July firework displays in the country and the largest in the state of Illinois, UnityPoint Health Red, White, & BOOM! But there are also other amazing firework displays all over the Peoria Area, from downtown Peoria all the way to the American Legion Hall in Henry, learn all about where you can get in on the action for the 2019 4th of July firework celebrations.
The largest 4th of July fireworks celebration in Illinois is back for the 33rd year on the Peoria and East Peoria Riverfronts!
Wednesday, July 3rd
The party starts with 'Hairbanger's Ball' rolling us through the "Decade of Decadence" covering iconic bands from the 80's.
Thursday, July 4th
The 4th of July event is open to everyone and is free of charge, although new this year is the Dunkin' of Central Illinois EZ Pass, offering a private, fenced-in viewing area of the fireworks! Tickets are $25 per person and include a meal with water, access to indoor bathrooms, a face painter, and entertainment. Soda, beer, and wine will be available for purchase from a separate vendor inside the EZ Pass area.
In the event of rain or wind which prohibits the fireworks from being launched on Thursday, the current rain-date will be the following day, Friday, July 5th.
Friday, July 5th
The party continues through Friday with 'Too White Crew' performing tributes to the hip hop and party anthems of the 80's, 90's, & early 00's!
With the Peoria Chiefs on the road, Dozer Park is hosting a double-bill concert on July 4 with fans invited to stay at the stadium for a fantastic view of Peoria's downtown Red, White & BOOM fireworks spectacular!
Lainey Wilson kicks off the night at 6:30 p.m. as the opening act. A native of Baskin, Louisiana, Wilson was hailed by CMT as one of the "Next Women of Country" earlier in 2019. She has opened for Morgan Wallen's I Know Me Tour this year while also going in studio to record her first project for Broken Bow Records. Among the songs on her Lainey Wilson EP are "Workin' Overtime" and "Waste of a Good Whiskey".
Adam Doleac hits the stage at 7:45 p.m. as the headliner. A former baseball star who played in the 2009 College World Series with the University of Southern Mississippi, Doleac is currently heading up the country charts with his single "Famous". His 2014 single "I Put It On Ya" was chosen as an On the Horizon track by Sirius XM's The Highway. Doleac released a self-titled EP in 2017 after working with Darius Rucker and Kane Brown.
Tickets for all ages will be $15 and tickets will be $20 at the gate on July 4. Fans can also purchase an individual buffet ticket for an additional $15. Party Deck tickets are $40, including a buffet and cash bar. Suite Rentals will be $360 for 12 tickets. The Chiefs inflatables and kid's area will be operational and FREE of charge for kids 12 and under. There will also be FREE face painting and balloon artists on the concourse. The stadium speakers will be switched over to 93.3 The Drive around 9:15 p.m. so fans can hear the music set to the fireworks at UnityPoint Health Red, White, & BOOM.
Join the Peoria Park District for all day family fun on July 3rd with $3 admission to Peoria Zoo and $3 Admission to Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., then stick around for the Peoria Municipal Band, face painting, balloon art, food trucks and a performance by 'JC and the Redemption'. The day’s events culminate with the Fireworks Spectacular! Reserved Premiere Seating is available.
If you don't want to make the trip to downtown Peoria on the 4th of July, stop by Three Sister's Park in Chillicothe for their spectacular fireworks celebrations! The gates open at 1 p.m. with bouncy games for kids, a food tent, ice cream, Webbs lemonade shake ups, Kirches kettle corn, and a beer tent. Donation barrels will be located at the entrance and throughout the crowd.
Directional arrows will be in place on the Route 29 at both the north and south gates. Parking will be first come, first served. After 8 p.m. only the front parking area will be open. Those attending should bring lawn chairs and the fireworks are set to go off at 9 p.m.!
The rain date for Three Sister's Park fireworks is July 8.
If you're in Tazewell County for the 4th of July and don't want to make the trip to the East Peoria Riverfront, make the short drive to the Pekin Memorial Stadium and enjoy a beautiful fireworks display there! The gates open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks display will begin at Dusk (around 9:15 p.m.). The concession stands will be open inside the stadium so that means no outside food, drinks, or coolers. For 2019 only - no one will be allowed to sit on the field or the track...the field is being re-leveled and re-seeded. Seating is available in the stands only.
Admission is $5 for Adults, Children ages 6-12 are a $1, and Children 5 & Under: FREE!
The rain date for the Pekin Memorial Stadium is Friday, July 5.
