Current Dining Options: Drive-Thru & Delivery

Governor Pritzker ordered all bars and restaurants to close as of 9 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, until Thursday, May 30, 2020. The Illinois Restaurant Association has been compiling resources and information here. Their resources include a good presentation on preparing for and dealing with COVID-19 which can be found here

According to the City of Peoria, restaurants with on-premise liquor licenses are permitted to sell packaged alcohol as long as it is sealed/packaged and not opened alcohol for carryout/curb side orders. They can also deliver, but the City is discouraging third party deliveries due to dram shop issues.  Delivery of food with packaged alcohol will be the responsibility of the licensee who has dram shop insurance.
As Illinois moves into Phase 3, effective May 29, 2020, bars and restaurants will have the option to resume operations for outdoor seating only. Tables must be six feet apart and away from the sidewalks, masks and distancing measures for staff must continue to be followed, and other precautions and guidance will be issued.
  • These measures will allow restaurants to re-open at a risk comparable to other outdoor activities, while giving the state’s hospitality industry a much-needed boost.
  • Municipalities are encouraged to help restaurants and bars expand their outdoor seating options.
Below you will find a list of local restaurants that will still be fulfilling delivery, drive-thru and curbside pickup either directly through them and or through delivery apps broken down by city.
