Central Illinois is booming this summer with a variety of Fourth of July celebrations happening throughout the area. Despite the postponement of this year’s Red White and Boom celebration on the Peoria Riverfront, residents and visitors alike are sure to find fun with these events happening in the surrounding communities. 

Bring your friends and family out to enjoy a day filled with food, music, fireworks and community to celebrate the holiday!

Events Line-up:

  • Chillicothe’s 4th of July at Three Sisters Park - Celebrate 4th of July in Chillicothe with an afternoon of fun at Three Sisters Park leading up to a huge Fireworks display. Free and open to the public. 

  • 4th of July Honor America Celebration at Memorial Stadium - Pekin’s Independence Day celebration will feature an amazing fireworks display beginning around dusk. You can get tickets at the Pekin Farmers’ Market and tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate of the stadium on July 4. 

  • Peoria Chiefs Game at Dozer Park - There will be fireworks all weekend long at Dozer Park, following the games Friday through Sunday. Check out the Chiefs’ website to get your tickets. 

  • Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Peoria Fourth of July Family Fun Fest at Le Vieux Carre Park (across from the State Street Post Office in Peoria) - Le Vieux Carre Park and Water Street from State to Walnut Streets in downtown Peoria become an intimate festival area for the whole family with a possible fireworks display to come!

  • Morton Community 4th of July Celebration at McClallen Park - The Morton Park District is hosting a free 4th of July celebration at McClallen Park. There will be live entertainment, food, a beer tent and a fireworks show once it gets dark. 

  • Havana Riverfront 4th of July Celebration - Havana will host its annual 4th of July celebration at the Riverfront Park. Enjoy a day of vendors, live entertainment, the boat parade and more. 

  • Firecracker 5000 - Join the Peoria Jaycees in their fun, celebrating the holiday by running the firecracker 5k or the 2-mile walk through downtown Peoria!

  • Eureka Independence Day Parade and Fireworks- Stop by the Eureka Independence Day parade on Saturday morning or the family fun festivities on Sunday at Eureka Park.

  • Elmwood- Yates City- Farmington Fireworks - Head out to Elmwood evening for a night of fireworks at Sweetwater Park.

  • Mackinaw Fireworks at Brock Lake- Mackinaw will hold their 2021 Fireworks show at Brock Lake at dusk.
